Meet the team: Senior Account Executive - Social Media

Tell us a bit about who you are and what you do at WorkWith?

I’m Alex, a Senior Account Executive here at WorkWith Studios. My day-to-day is planning content, writing copy and engaging with the community on social media for our bike-based clients. Whether it’s working to understand what products to push for Biketart, posting cool bikes that have received invisiFRAME protection, or sharing the latest big move from one of our adidas Five Ten sponsored athletes - it’s all in a day’s work!

What’s one project at WorkWith you’ve loved being a part of, and why did it stick with you?

The launch of Freerider Pro BOA for adidas Five Ten springs to mind. As a launch activation that spanned multiple weeks, various assets and numerous partners, it was a lot to manage and deliver, but I’m super proud of the results. The shoe itself is pretty cool too, my new personal favourite in the Five Ten range.

What’s a moment in sport (or life) that shaped the way you work today?

When the Tour de France came to my home county of Yorkshire back in 2014, my love for cycling and outdoor sports was galvanised. It was a huge deal for everyone in the county, and awe-inspiring to see the complexity of the sport, but also the passion of the fans. I knew at that point I wanted to pursue a career in sports and tell the incredible stories of professional athletes.

If you could swap jobs with any pro athlete for one day, who would it be and why?

As a road cyclist, I’d have to say Tadej Pogačar. Mainly because he’s arguably the most successful road cyclist of our generation, but more specifically I’d love to know what it feels like to be able to feel what 5 W/kg while maintaining a zone 2 heart rate, as he claims he can do (sorry if that went straight over your head).

If WorkWith had an in-house Olympics, what event would you take gold in?

Not golf, as we found out at a recent team social, that’s for sure. I used to do white water kayaking as a kid, and feel like I could tap back into those skills to beat my sporty and exceptionally competitive colleagues at something!

What’s a recent trend in sport or culture that you think brands should pay attention to?

As our industry moves more and more behind paywalls, brands have a strong opportunity to use their connections and sponsorships to give fans a glance behind the scenes into the sports they love. This is something we’re keen to follow up this season.
